On 05.05.2023, in the restaurant “Floar” in the presence of citizens, the Municipality of Bogovinje successfully held the session of the fourth Forum in the community, forums which are organized within the project “Empowerment of municipal councils – Phase 2”, financed by the Embassy Swiss and the Ministry of local self-government and co-financed by UNDP and aim to involve citizens in the decision-making process at the municipal level.

In the session of the fourth Forum, the moderator again presented the rules and criteria for choosing the project that will be financed within the community forum, as well as analyzed which of the citizens have the right to vote based on the evidence of their participation. Then, the citizens voted on three proposals – projects: “Regulation of the riverbed in Pirok”, “Construction of the sidewalk in Pirok” and “Construction of the road that connects Rakovec with Bogovinje”. Of these three projects, the most voted by the citizens of Bogovinje Municipality was “Regulation of the riverbed in Pirok”.

The mayor of the Municipality of Bogovinje, Besnik Emshiu thanked everyone for their important participation for the successful implementation of the forums as well as for the contribution given during the proposals of numerous projects, which are very necessary to be realized in the Municipality of Bogovinje. All these will serve the Municipality in planning activities and developing future projects.

On 28.04.2023, in the restaurant “Floar” in the presence of citizens, the Municipality of Bogovinje successfully held the session of the third Forum in the community, forums which are organized within the project “Empowering of municipal councils – Phase 2”, financed by the Embassy Swiss and the Ministry of local self-government and co-financed by UNDP and aim to involve citizens in the decision-making process at the municipal level.

In the third session of the Forum, the moderator presented the rules and criteria for choosing the project that will be financed within the community forum. Then three proposals were presented – the projects, which came out of the citizens’ proposals in the first session and are in the field of municipal infrastructure. Proposal – the projects that were presented in this session were: “Regulation of the river bed in Pirok”, “Construction of the pavement in Pirok” and “Construction of the road that connects the settlement of Rakovec with Bogovinje”.

The mayor of Bogovinje Municipality, Besnik Emshiu, thanked everyone for their participation and contribution.

On 28.04.2023, the mayor of the Municipality of Bogovinje was present at the event organized at the “NB” hotel on the occasion of the signing of the Аgreement with the mayors of Pollog for the formation of the Unit for the management of water and flood risks in the planar region of Pollog.

Also, at this event, various discussions were opened regarding the next steps in the implementation of activities for the common Unit within the project “Improving flood resistance in the Pologut Region” financed by the Embassy of Switzerland and implemented by UNDP.

In the framework of planing activities for the “Crossborder-Fireshield” project, IPA/2021/429-446, in the premises of municipality of Bogovinje was signed a Contract for Purchase of a forest fire truck.

This special vehicle will be used for the purposes of a new fire station , as part of the joint IPA project with the municipality of Vrapçisht.

This activity is implemented within the CROSS – BORDER FIRESHIELD project financed within the call IPA II, CBC, Europe Aid/170339/DD/ACT/MK.
