The regional director of UNDP, Ms. Ivana Zivkovic, together with the UNDP Ambassador in North Macedonia Mr. Armen Gregorian, on 14.06.2023 held a coordination meeting in the Municipality of Bogovinje regarding the future projects regarding the protection of soil erosion and floods.

The mayors of the municipalities of the Pollog region were present at the meeting, and future projects were discussed in relation to the protection and prevention of these ongoing problems regarding flooding in the wider region of Pollog respectively, it was discussed about the projects that will be implemented within the project “Improving resistance in the region of Pollog” and other projects that are implemented through UNDP.

The mayor of the Municipality of Bogovinje has signed the agreement with the Ministry of environment and spatial planning, for the financing of the project “Processing the technical investment documentation for the construction of the collector system for fecal and atmospheric sewage as well as the filter station”.

The value of the entire project amounts to 15 million MKD, while the Ministry contributes 5 million MKD with VAT, and in this case we thank the state secretary Mr. Nebi Rexhepi for his commitment.
